Flamingo Terms of Service

Effective: October 9, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and PLTZR Labs ("we", "us"), which makes Flamingo. By creating an account or using Flamingo, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Flamingo.

1. Who can use Flamingo

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account or accept an invitation. Children can't have accounts; parents and guardians can add information about them.
  • Flamingo is offered only in the United States.
  • You must give us accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.

2. Households, coordinators and invitations

  • Flamingo is organized around a household. The person who creates it is its coordinator.
  • A coordinator can:
    • invite people;
    • change their roles or remove them;
    • export the household's data;
    • delete the household.
  • Anyone who has a valid invitation code can use it to join your household. Share invitation codes only with the people you mean to invite. You can revoke an unused invitation from Settings.
  • When someone leaves or is removed, content they created stays with the household.

3. Your content

  • What you add to Flamingo stays yours.
  • You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run Flamingo for you and your household. This permission ends when you delete it, except for copies in backups until they expire (see our Privacy Policy).
  • When you add information about other people, you confirm that you're allowed to. For a child, that means you're their parent or guardian, or have their parent's or guardian's permission.
  • Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

4. Subscriptions, trials and billing

Price. Flamingo costs $9 per month or $90 per year, plus applicable sales tax. Tax is calculated at checkout from your billing address.

Beta and promotional access. We may offer free, discounted or promotional access to Flamingo, including to invited beta households. Beta access is free, and needs no payment card and no trial.

Free trial.

  • New customers get a 14-day free trial. A payment card is required to start it.
  • Unless you cancel before the trial ends, you'll be charged automatically when it ends. We'll email you a reminder before that happens.
  • A free trial is available once per customer.

Automatic renewal.

  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
  • For annual plans, and wherever the law requires it, we'll email you before your subscription renews. The email will give the renewal date, the amount you'll be charged and how to cancel before you're billed.
  • If we change the price of your subscription, we'll email you between 15 and 30 days before the new price takes effect. The email will give the new price, the date it starts and how to cancel before it applies.

Cancelling.

  • You can cancel at any time in Settings → Plan & billing.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period, or at the end of your free trial if you cancel during it. You keep access until then.
  • Payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods, except where the law requires otherwise.

Failed payments.

  • If a payment fails, our payment processor will retry it, and you keep access while it does.
  • If the payment still can't be collected after retrying over about two weeks, your subscription will be cancelled.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

5. When your plan ends

  • If your subscription ends, your household's access to Flamingo is paused.
  • You can still sign in to export your data, delete your account, or restart your plan.
  • We keep your household's information for 90 days after your plan ends. We'll email you when it ends and again 14 days before deletion. After 90 days, we delete it.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Flamingo to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
  • harass, threaten or harm anyone;
  • store information you have no right to hold;
  • try to access another household's data, or probe, scan or get around Flamingo's security;
  • upload malware, or overload or disrupt the service;
  • scrape Flamingo, or access it by automated means other than the app itself;
  • resell or sublicense Flamingo.

7. Reminders and records are a convenience

  • Flamingo helps you keep track of things. It is not a medical, veterinary, safety or professional service.
  • Reminders can be delayed or missed because of email delivery, your settings, or outages. Don't rely on Flamingo alone for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm, such as medication, a child's safety, or urgent pet or home care.
  • Records are only as accurate as what you enter.

8. Changes to Flamingo

  • We keep improving Flamingo, and features may change, be added or be removed.
  • If we remove something central to what you're paying for, we'll tell you at least 30 days in advance, so you can cancel before your next renewal.

9. Suspension and termination

  • You can stop using Flamingo and delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if we must to protect other users or comply with the law. Where reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

10. Disclaimers

Flamingo is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that Flamingo will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill;
  • our total liability for any claim relating to Flamingo is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you added or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.

Talk to us first. If you have a dispute with us, email us and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.

Courts. If it isn't resolved, either of us may bring a claim in court.

Small claims. If your claim qualifies, you may bring it in the small-claims court for the county where you live.

No class actions. To the extent the law allows, claims may only be brought individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.

Venue. Every other court proceeding will be in the state or federal courts located in Williamson County, Tennessee.

14. Transfer of these Terms

  • We may transfer these Terms, and your account, to a successor business: for example, a company formed to operate Flamingo, or a buyer of Flamingo. You'll be told if this happens, and these Terms will continue to apply.
  • You may not transfer these Terms without our consent.

15. Changes to these Terms

  • If we make a material change, we'll tell you by email and in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. Changes required by law, or that only add protections for you, may take effect sooner.
  • If you keep using Flamingo after that, the new Terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel before they take effect.

16. General

  • If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • Not enforcing a right isn't a waiver of it.
  • These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Flamingo.
